As part of a postponed Earth Day event, Brightmark employees fanned out across Ashley, picking up trash — particularly plastic — and planting trees.

With the establishment of this new facility, Brightmark will be the first new circular economy business in the Parkes Special Activation Precinct, as well as the first-of-its-kind advanced recycling, plastics renewal facility in Australia. Brightmark will be constructing the facility in partnership with the NSW Government, as part of its commitment to drive economic growth and prosperity in regional NSW.

A local dairy operation is becoming more sustainable. Boadwine Dairy in Baltic is taking manure and turning it into renewable natural gas through the use of their new methane digesters.
It’s all a part of the Athena Project, a partnership with Brightmark, to bring agricultural sustainability to the next level.

Brightmark delivers the first gas at its Athena Project in Minnehaha County, South Dakota. The project comprises three farms in Minnehaha County: Boadwine Farms, Pioneer Dairy, and Mooody Dairy.

A group of 60 students from New River Middle School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, recently spent the day collecting trash on the beach that they measured, sorted, and cataloged to learn more about the devastating effect that plastics have on the ocean ecosystem.

The 2022 Northeast Indiana Manufacturing Awards highlighted some of the outstanding products being created in Northeast Indiana. KPC Media and the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana held the event virtually April 29. The inaugural event was in 2020 with 2021’s event canceled because of COVID-19.

The Vlot anaerobic digestion project is anticipated to capture, clean, and convert methane from manure that would otherwise escape to the atmosphere on the Vlot Calf Ranch and dairy farm into renewable natural gas (RNG). When used in the transportation sector, renewable natural gas from dairy operations has a negative carbon intensity on a lifecycle basis under California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard. The Vlot Project is Brightmark RNG Holdings LLC’s first renewable natural gas project in the state of California.
