Job Summary:
We are seeking a Legal Analyst to join the Brightmark Legal team. Under direction of the General Counsel and Sr. Manager of Legal Services, the Legal Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Legal Department’s contracts management and corporate governance functions by obtaining and distributing information, preparing and managing documentation and providing legal administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Manager of Legal Services with the management of the legal invoice approval and budgeting process
- Assist with corporate governance and compliance for Brightmark’s subsidiaries, to include ongoing maintenance of corporate records and minute books and coordination with Corporation Service Company on annual report filing service for U.S. subsidiaries
- Coordinate the review, execution, distribution, and filing of various agreements and legal documents
- Maintain records and document management systems, including the use of SharePoint and HighQ (Brightmark’s Contracts Lifecycle Management software)
- Support transaction and contract administration, including obligation tracking, within HighQ
- Assist the Director of Commercial Contracts with the preparation and review of Non-Disclosure Agreements, management of the NDA Request system, and maintenance and circulation of the Master NDA Log
- Virtual Data Room creation and maintenance
- Assist Legal Team with day-to-day requests and management of the Legal Request Form system
- Participate in Legal Team meetings and assist with the monitoring of legal tasks, priorities and deadlines
- Serve as a Legal Department ambassador by interacting with and providing support to all departments within Brightmark
- Assist with special projects as requested and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes
- Identify, design, and implement new processes and procedures to improve our group’s efficiency, productivity, organization, and communication
Success Criteria (what success will look like in this role):
- Experience working with contracts, virtual data rooms and maintaining document management systems
- General word processing and document compilation skills
- Familiarity with corporate governance
- Experience with legal invoicing
- Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to handle multiple projects, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Experience & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least two years of related experience
- Previous in-house legal and/or or fast-paced growth, emerging company experience preferred
- Experience in renewable energy industry a plus

Salary Range:
- $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
