Position Highlight:

Position is challenging and offers opportunity for growth with additional roles and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely multi-entity month-end close. Duties  will include recording of applicable revenue, expense and balance sheet related journal entries for fixed assets,  accruals, loan draw downs and debt and interest payments. 
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and analysis of financial  statements, including intercompany transaction accounting and reconciliations. 
  • Assist with special projects as requested and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and  changes.  
  • Prepare schedules and support documentation as required to complete loan and contract compliance filings.
  • Preparation of support schedules for, and expected regular interaction with, external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Provide backup support to the Accounts Payable Department in cash disbursement accounting, vendor file maintenance and weekly cash management reporting. 
  • Meet internal deadlines for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activities.


  • Bachelors degree in accounting and 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance department required.
  • Experience with multi-entity organization structures (similar to real estate industry) reporting and related accounting is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment.
  • Experience with accounting for foreign entities is preferred.
  • Experience in working in the accounting systems transition from a private to public company is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work well independently in a fast growing company.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy, and ability to document work clearly and concisely.
  • Persistence needed in order to resolve problems effectively and efficiently with business partners.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel), with knowledge of advanced features such as pivot tables, look ups and macros.
  • Experience with Great Plains and SAP Business One software a plus.
