Position Highlight:

The position is challenging and offers opportunities for growth with additional roles and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely multi-entity month-end close. Duties will include the preparation of journal entries related to revenue, expenses, and balance sheet-related accounts.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and analysis of financial statements, including intercompany transaction accounting and reconciliations.
  • Assist with implementing business process improvements and enhancements to processes as the business grows.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as requested, and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes.
  • Prepare schedules and support documentation as required to complete compliance filings.
  • Preparation of support schedules for, and expected regular interaction with, external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Work in collaboration with others across the business resulting in an opportunity to grow and gain a robust understanding of the company by working with Structured Finance, FP&A, Technical Accounting, and Financial Reporting, and Project and Operations Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance department required.
  • Experience with multi-entity organization structures (similar to real estate or construction industries) reporting and related accounting is preferred.
  • US GAAP accounting experience and participating ineffective internal controls over financial reporting are a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work well independently in a fast-growing company.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy, and ability to document work clearly and concisely.
  • Persistence and strong communication skills are needed in order to resolve problems effectively and efficiently with others across the business.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel), with knowledge of advanced features such as pivot tables and lookups.
  • Experience with an ERP system, Great Plains, and SAP Business One software preferred.
  • Experience in assisting with new system implementation is a plus.
  • Experience with accounting for foreign entities is a plus.
